Reopening of Calasiao livestock market mulled
THERE is a chance for the livestock market in Calasiao to reopen after it was closed for two years since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The town’s local government under Mayor Mamilyn Caramat decided to consider reopening its livestock market after local meat vendors that have since moved to adjacent towns of Malasiqui, and Mangaldan have expressed their pleas for their return.
Reopening said facility would save the vendors money since they will have faster and easier access to supply in the town.
There are instances when meat vendors are having hard times replenishing their stock particularly during holiday season.
The town government said residents of Calasiao town will be given priority once the market reopens. (Ahikam Pasion)
