Asingan’s 300 TESDA scholars finish courses

SOME 300 scholars of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) from Asingan town finally received their diplomas for completing their courses in Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, Construction Painting NC II, Process Food by salting, curing and smoking leading to Food Processing II and Produce Organic Concoctions and Extract Leading to Organic Agriculture Production NC II.

Jess Salagubang, Vocational School Administrator III of TESDA at Luciano Millan Memorial School of Arts and Trade (LMMSAT) in Asingan, said the graduation was delayed because of the Covid pandemic.

66 Sto. Tomas residents receive DTI livelihood kits

THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) distribute livelihood kits under the program “Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa Maging ang Negosyo, Serbisyo sa Barangay” to  66 residents of Santo Tomas town who attended its Entrepreneurship Seminar aimed at expanding their knowledge in running their businesses.

Mayor Dickery Villar thanked DTI for its continuous support to small business entrepreneurs in his town and encouraged his town mates to improve their business and be role models for other small business entrepreneurs to follow.

DTI provincial office headed by Natalia Dalaten appealed to local businessmen to follow all lawful regulations, especially in putting Suggested  Retail Price (SRP). (Jonah de Vera)

Longganiza-making training for women of Mangatarem 

THE town of Mangatarem is eyeing to become a top source for langgoniza, a popular food item in Pangasinan after the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MDSO) launched a longganiza-making training program to teach the town’s womenfolk how to make best-tasting langgoniza that they can sell.

The training was organized by Jean Repato, MSWDO III, along with Nelfa Evangelista, president of the Katipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI), Rowena Gagasa and Rochelle Macaranas, a trainor of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

In support of this initiative, Mayor Ramil Ventanilla donated a grinder and other equipment needed to make home-prepared longganiza. (Rheallyn Ferrer)
