Buhaynihan ‘Cash-for-Work program for PWDs
MAYOR Belen Fernandez distributed livelihood assistance to 322 persons with disabilities (PWDs), beneficiaries of President Ferdinand ‘Marcos, Jr.’s Buhay at Bayanihan para sa Mamamayan (Buhaynihan) program under the Department of Social Welfare and Development office.
The ‘Cash-for-Work’ ceremonial payout was held simultaneously in the country in celebration of International Persons with Disabilities Day on December 3, 2022.
DSWD Sec. Erwin Tulfo, was in Alaminos City to do the payout to the city’s PWDs.
The beneficiaries in Dagupan City will have the chance to work in various clean-up activities in the barangays and coastal areas as part of preparedness, mitigation and risk reduction projects.
CSWD Officer-in-Charge Irene Ferrer said each beneficiary will receive P3,700 for the 10-day work.
Relatives or representatives may take the place of PWDs who are not physically fit to work, according to PWD Focal Person Josie de Vera. (Dagupan CIO News)
