THE Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) distributed PHP 10,000 as cash assistance to 300 residents in the Third Congressional District last week.

Rep. Rachel Arenas, who led the distribution, told the beneficiaries that the SLP is a government program to help persons build or jumpstart a small business.

The following day, more than 1,000 individuals in San Carlos City received their Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) cash-for-work vouchers.

The TUPAD program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) provides help to assist displaced, underemployed, and seasonal workers by giving them emergency employment for 10 days. (Ahikam Pasion)
