Rampant illegal selling of land reported in Binalonan

RAMPANT illegal selling of lands in Binalonan town by sellers was reported to the local government by prospective buyers.

Gleaned from posts on social media, town residents and prospective buyers said many of the real estate sellers are reportedly unable to present their licenses and authority to sell.

Alarmed by these posts, Binalonan local government alerted the public anew to be vigilant when buying lands in the town by requiring sellers to present complete documents on the lands they are selling and more importantly to ask seller to present his/her license or permit to sell lands.

Land buyers are reminded to require the sellers to present the Approved Subdivision Plan, Development Permit issued by the LGU and Certificate of Registration on top of the land title, and License to Sell Issued by the Department of Housing, Subdivision and Urban Development (DHSUD) to the seller.

The listed documents are required to secure clearance and permit  in registering the lands under the name of the new owner before the Land Registration  Commission (LRC), otherwise they can never register the land that they bought under their name from their own money. (IFM Dagupan/ Rona Racca)
