Slow business for flowers during Undas
SALE of flowers for Undas remains slow at the MC Adore Public Market in Dagupan till Thursday, October 27. This was confirmed by Jenny Retoza, a flower vendor.
She blamed that this was the result of the high inflation that prompted many families to save their available cash for difficult days ahead.
However, she was still hopeful her sales will improve on the eve of Undas, the time when people adorn with flowers the tombs of their dead kin.
Flowers were being sold were: Malaysian Mums, P100 to P160 per bundle; Radus, P85 to P160; Aster, P100 to P120; Astromera, P100; Chrysanthemum, P170 to P180; Rose, P25 to P30 each; Sunflower: P50 per piece; and Carnation, P25, P30 and up P100. Bouquet or assembled: from P300 to P1,000 depending on the design and kind of flower; Flowers placed on a basket: P 200 depending on its size. (IFMDagupan News Desk /Jhon Caranto)
