SSS targets delinquent employers in San Carlos City

THE Social Security System (SSS) visited another batch of delinquent employers during its “Run After Contribution Evaders” (RACE) Campaign last September 8.

Seven employers received written notices due to non-registration of business and non-remittance of SSS contribution with combined delinquency and penalty of P1.27 million, affecting 55 employees.

SSS Vice President for Luzon Central I Vilma Agapito said employers with contribution delinquency for at least six months are encouraged to avail of the Pandemic Relief and Restructuring 3 (PRRP 3), also known as Enhanced Installment Payment Program so that they can conveniently settle their past-due contributions and avoid additional financial distress from lengthy and expensive legal battles.

Employers who were subjected to the RACE Operation were given a non-extendable period of 15 days to visit SSS San Carlos-Pangasinan Branch located at the second floor of San Carlos Town Center along Rizal Avenue corner Zamora Street in Barangay Rizal, to reconcile their records. Should they have difficulty settling their total obligation in a one-time payment, they may avail of the PRRP 3, which offers installment payment terms ranging from nine to 60 months, depending on the delinquency amount. The program will run until November 21, 2022.

The recent  RACE Campaign is the second activity in the Pangasinan. The first operation was held in Alaminos City on May 17 when five out of seven non-compliant establishments have already reconciled their records. The remaining two employers are facing charges for blatant violation of the Republic Act 11199 or Social Security Act of 2018. ###
