DSWD cash aid benefits 1,300 students
THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) confirmed that 1,300 qualified beneficiaries from western and central Pangasinan received their educational assistance last Saturday (August 27) in Dagupan City.
Distribution of the payout was smooth and orderly this time unlike last August 20 when those who came for their financial assistance queued for about a kilometer long, many of whom spilled over the streets and blocked traffic.
Because of the seemingly uncontrollable situation that time, the payout was temporarily suspended.
Clarinet Banzuela, team leader of tree payout for the western and Central Pangasinan cluster of DSWD Field Office 1, said the Dagupan city government provided the venue while the police deployed personnel to maintain order. (104.7 IFM-Dagupan)
