THE Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region I plans to launch a computerized examination (COMEX) this month to help current employees in government agencies become eligible.

During the celebration of the 122nd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary on Saturday, September 3, Assistant Regional Director Cornelia Rillera said the commission plans to hold the computerized examination on the last week of September.

She said 20 computer units have been prepared by the CSC Region I for exam takers.

Civil Service Commission Computerized Examination (CSC-COMEX) is a system that automates and integrates each step in the administration of computerized examination, making the entire process faster, easier, and more efficient.

The COMEX is administered in all CSC regional offices in the country.

Unlike the traditional CSC Paper and Pencil Test whose test results are released after 45 days, the COMEX results are released within one hour after submission enabling successful examination takers to get their eligibility status faster. (Ahikam Pasion)
