THE Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Dagupan city held a mega jobs fair last week at the People’s Astrodome and offered over 2, 000 local and overseas employment opportunities.

PESO manager Jocelyn Siapno said the jobs fair, which was open to all jobseekers in Dagupan City, gathered 14 employers for local jobs and two overseas employers to provide job vacancies to Dagupeños.

“Through the leadership of Mayor Belen Fernandez, the city government targets to conduct job fairs regularly to bring together different companies from Pangasinan and other provinces that are actively searching for new hires and to provide a career exploration and professional development to Dagupeño jobseekers,” Siapno said.

In a short program, Mayor Belen Fernandez directed Siapno to conduct massive information dissemination on job orientation and announcement of job fairs to all barangays in the city and reach out to all jobseekers so they can avail of employment opportunities offered by the city government.  (PIA Pangasinan/EMSA)
