BFAR offers scholarship grants for fisherfolk
THE Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) is accepting applications for the 2022 Fisheries Scholarship Program for local fisherfolk in Pangasinan who wish to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries degree.
The scholarship has two program components: the Fisheries Industry Leader Grant (FILG) for high school graduates who are among the Top 10 of the graduating class; and the Fisherfolk Children Educational Grant (FCEG) for high school graduates whose parents are registered as municipal fisherfolk.
The scholarship includes free tuition and other school fees, monthly stipend, P2,000 book allowance released every semester, P3,000 for on the job training allowance, P7,000 outright grant per school upon submission of Certified True Copy of thesis proposal; and a graduation support of P1,500.
Interested applicants can obtain an application form at the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO)- Lingayen office until August 29, 2022. Qualifying exam will be held on November 12, 2022. (PIA-Pangasinan/RPMII)
