DTI awards livelihood packages to 125 Dagupeños

THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pangasinan Provincial Office through the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) program selected 125 residents of Dagupan City to receive various livelihood packages from.

Natalia Dalaten, provincial director of DTI Pangasinan, said PPG is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program that aims to assist individuals and families affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including health disasters like the COVID-19 pandemic.

She said beneficiaries underwent assessment, orientation, and capability-building seminars to further enhance their knowledge on starting or growing a business.

“This year, under the PPG program, we have 200 Pangasinense recipients of livelihood packages. Of the number, 75 beneficiaries were from Umingan and 125 residents here in Dagupan,” Dalaten added.

Among the livelihood packages that were given to the beneficiaries are sari-sari store, rice, canteen, and bakery packages. (PIA Pangasinan/EMSA)
