DOLE Region 1’s Labor Day job fairs offered 15,000 jobs
THE Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 1 (DOLE RO1) pooled some 15,000 local and overseas job vacancies for jobseekers in three simultaneous face-to-face job fairs in the region for the May 1’s 2022 Labor Day.
The job fair in Pangasinan was held at the 3rd Floor MMX Center, Magic Mall in Urdaneta City.
Other venues in the region were at the Farmers Civic Center in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur and Robinsons Mall Activity Area in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte.
Regional Director Evelyn Ramos said the intensified employment facilitation services on the theme “Matatag na Manggagawa, Matatag na Bansa.”
The vacancies were pooled from 64 local employers and seven overseas placement agencies” 14,623 for local while 481 for overseas employment opportunities.
Among the local jobs available were Customer Service Representatives, Production Operators, Collections Specialists, Retail/Sales Agents, Sales Representatives and Service Crews.
Overseas work opportunities were for factory workers, painters, frameworkers, welders, plastic moulders, machine and production operators, sales personnel, computer programmers, graphic designers.
All pre-registered job applicants were entitled to free virtual employment coaching sessions, and were also given health kits. (Eva Visperas)
