Pangasinan hailed ‘Best Performing Province’

19th REGIONAL SKILLS COMPETITION

THE Pangasinan provincial government led by Governor Amado I. Espino III takes pride in  the sterling performance of seven Pangasinenses that won six gold medals and one silver that led to Pangasinan being hailed as ‘Best Performing Province in the 3-day 19th Regional Skills Competition held in La Union November 13-15.

The gold medalists from Pangasinan are, as follows: Bonifacio Rojo (Welding); Rodericko Fulay (Hairdressing); Arnel Canillas (Beauty Therapy); Vincent Rivas (Cooking); Angelica Austria (Restaurant Services); and Garry Eustaquio (Wall and Floor Tiling) while Nicko Villanueva received a silver medal in Electrical Installation.

In a meeting held at the Provincial Capitol on November 18, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Regional Director Vincent Aljon A. Cifra extolled Governor Pogi and winners from the province in the recently-concluded Regional Skills Olympics of TESDA.

“If these regional winners from Pangasinan won in the national skills Olympics, they will advance to the world skills Olympics which will be participated in by the countries around the globe,” said TESDA Regional Director Cifra.

The 46th World Skills Competition will gather in by over 1,400 competitors in Shanghai, China on October 12-17, 2022.

Governor Espino, on the other hand, vowed continuous support to the programs and projects of TESDA.

Earlier, the governor  awarded P10,000 financial assistance to each provincial winners of skills Olympics.  (PIO/SMDG)
