DOLE releases P13.4-M TUPAD wages for marginalized workers

THE Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office I (DOLE ROI) recently released P13,474,200.00 as wages for the low-income marginalized workers in Pangasinan who were tapped for cash-for-work services under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay Para sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) Program.

In a series of payout activities this month in various towns, the DOLE distributed the wages to 3,056 TUPAD workers.

DOLE Eastern Pangasinan Field Office led by Chief Darwin Hombrebueno facilitated the payment for 257 workers in Santa Maria town, 524 workers in Rosales and 1160 workers in Umingan; while DOLE Central Pangasinan Field Office led by Chief Agnes Aguinaldo turned over the wages to 706 workers in Malasiqui and 279 workers in Sta. Barbara, respectively.
