Is P-noy for or against Mar?

SOMETHING good and noble happened in Dagupan City last week.

No, not only good and noble – also historic.

In a meeting, the Dagupan City Historical Arts and Culture Commission (DCHACC) officially launched the integration into our school’s curriculum the teaching of local history.

Thanks to Mayor Belen Fernandez and the staff of the DepEd led by Supt. Eufrocina Bravo who round-the-clock did the study, research and all in response to the city government’s work.

The SP was led by Councilors Jigs Seen and Joey Tamayo.

As head of the commission, we found here faster action, unlike in the province which is more focused on tourism. Ok rin, but in point of historical research, mas mabilis ang Dagupan. Take it from us, because we, too, head the Pangasinan Historical Cultural Commission.

And so, what does this feat mean?

It means, by June – that would be the first month after the elections – our schools are ready to teach Dagupan history to our pupils.

Ang galing, ano?

Ipagbunyi si Mayor Belen dahil focused siya dito, and Ms. Bravo’s hardworking staff!

What? Paper project?

Nope! The DCACC has caused the passage of an ordinance – to find out exactly if the old Dagupan seal could be changed.

The Lim administration changed it. This was met by outrage. Even our artist-friend Alex Villaflor says it should never be done, advising that there’s a national law on this.

Did you know that Dagupan’s official flower is the sweet-scented Rosal?

Bakit kaya parang nakalimutan na?

We should encourage its propagation! It’s a beautiful flower to make it as a visitors’ lei!

Over the weekend, we attended in San Fernando City (Pampanga) a workshop on an invitation of daughter Pebbles.

From out of the blue, we were asked to make a reaction.

Know what? The seminar’s core group contracted us to do speaking work for leading presidentiable Rody Duterte because, they said, very substantial and relevant daw ang mga topics natin.

That’s why, next week, nasa Marikina workshop naman tayo pupunta.

Our talk on OFW’s was received with gusto. Papano, we had POEA background. We were deputy administrator there, remember?

Our stories on OFW’s, such as men with four or more families and mothers with two husbands elated the audience.

The punchline is that Duterte wants this breakdown of P-noy homes due to our OFWs stopped for good.

Nag-rate na naman ang friend to superstardom.

Lalo na sa isyu ng drugs. Ewan lang kung paano matatalo pa yan.

It’s beyond comprehension.

Nalulungkot uli ang mga taga-Dagupan sa pagpanaw ng masipag at mabait na doctor – Edwin Aguirre.

Isa siyang napakabuting executive assistant ni Mayor Fernandez.

Edwin was a faithful man of former Mayor Al Fernandez.

May he rest in peace!

What’ s this unfair story circulating in the grapevine that President P-noy is so disappointed with Mar Roxas’ low ratings in the poll survey, to a point that out of spite, the President is now making decisions that will discourage voters to elect his supposed heir to the throne.

Roxas will surely suffer from the President’s action against the SSS pensioners’ prayer for a P2,000 increase in their pension.

That act would surely earn public ire – and who will bear the brunt of the public outrage? Di ba si Mar?

Kawawang Mar!
