Dagupan’s active COVID cases drop to 91

HERE’S the good news as of last week.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Dagupan continues to drop with only 91 active cases as of February 11, from 149 last February 4 – a significant drop of 48 cases over a week’s period.

Dagupan’s Public Information Office reported that on January 11 alone, 22 COVID-19 patients recovered against only three new confirmed cases and one death.

The latest count of total confirmed cases in the city now stands at 1,117 with 972 that recovered and 56 had died.

The barangay with the most reported cases is still Pantal with 19 confirmed active COVID-19 cases, followed by Caranglaan (10), Bonuan Binloc (9), Tapuac (7), Malued (7), Tebeng (4), Bonuan Boquig (4), Bacayao Norte (3), Lucao (3), Mayombo (3), Tambac (3), Bacayao Sur (2), Barangay IV (2), Carael (2) and Poblacion Oeste (2).

Erstwhile frontliner Bonuan Gueset reported on one active COVID-19 case along with Calmay, Lasip Chico, Mangin, Pogo Chico, Salapingao, Barangay 1 and  Barangay II & III.

Six barangays have no COVID-19 case: Bolosan, Herero-Perez, Lasip Grande, Lomboy, Mamalingling and Pogo Grande.

Since the start of the pandemic contagion, Dagupan conducted a total of 18,850 tests and to date, its quarantine facility bed occupancy is at 32 percent. (Leonardo Micua)
