THE Provincial Tourism Office and the Pangasinan PNP have issued an advisory: Tourists must secure a travel pass before visiting tourist destinations in Pangasinan.

A travel pass consists of travel authority and medical certificate.

According to Malu Elduayan, Provincial Tourism Officer, while some popular tourist destinations spots in the province, i.e. the beaches of Burgos, Anda, Bolinao, Hundred Islands, Tondaligan in Bonuan and San Fabian, visitors must be in possession of the travel pass to avoid inconvenience in passing checkpoints manned by the Pangasinan PNP.

Elduayan said only Phase 1 of tourism promotion is in effect, meaning only tourists from Region 1 will be allowed to enter and visit as long as they can present their travel passes. In addition, strict age restrictions are imposed – those aged 15 to 65 are allowed entry, and tourists should have a prior booking for hotel accommodation before proceeding to Pangasinan.

She asked residents and officials to strictly enforce the ordinance mandating the wearing of face shields and facemask in public places. She warned that violators will be fined. (Nora Dominguez)
