Three brothers infected with COVID-19 by dad
ANOTHER evidence of local transmission, closer to home, literally.
Three brothers in Dagupan City are currently under isolation, after being infected by their father who tested positive earlier and died.
The brothers, aged 11, 18, and 19, are all residents of Barangay Bonuan Gueset.
Dr. Ophelia Rivera, the city’s COVID-19 focal person, urged the public to continue observing health protocol even at home, especially when some members of the family are constantly exposed to persons outside of their homes.
“There have been cases where one individual infects other family members”, said Rivera.
She warned that family members could be infected during meals, when the family gets together to dine, and speak to each other while eating.
As of writing, Dagupan City has a total of 700 confirmed COVID-19 cases; of which 109 are active, 559 have recovered, while 33 have died. (Ahikam Pasion)
