Rider dies after being hit-and-run twice
A 26-year-old man died after being hit and run not once, but twice, along the bridge in Barangay Embarcadero in Mangaldan town.
Police investigators, backed with CCTV footage, said the victim, Jonathan Dispulo, a resident of Barangay Pias in Mapandan, was traversing the bridge on his motorcycle when he crashed into a tricycle he was following that suddenly made a U-turn.
The impact threw Dispulo off his motorcycle and laid on the road but the van behind him failed to stop and run over him.
Both drivers did not stop to check on their victim and simply sped away.
Dispulo was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The police are trying to establish the identity of the two run-away drivers. (Ahikam Pasion)
