Operating hours of malls, stores in Tayug extended
THE mayor of Tayug town has issued an executive order extending the operating hours of the public market, malls and grocery stores to stimulate more economic activities in the town from Monday to Sunday.
Mayor Carlos Trece Mapili issued on Dec. 1 Executive Order No. 56, series of 2020, to invigorate the local economy after it suffered a slump due to the coronavirus disease 2019 global pandemic.
He said his latest order is pursuant to the resolution of the Inter Agency Task Force on the Emerging Infectious Diseases placing Pangasinan under Modified General Community Quarantine since June 16, 2020 onward.
Mapili also recalled previous executive orders he issued imposing a ban versus residents from neighboring municipalities going to the Tayug Public Market, supermarkets, malls and grocery stores. (PhilStar Wire Service/ECV)
