P/BGen Rodolfo Azurin Jr., regional Director of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1), confirmed that all the 193 police personnel that took the drug test showed they are all negative of drug use.

Azurin said the series of surprise drug tests will continue to support the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs.

Meanwhile, P/ Major Rommel Bagsic, chief of Police Community Affairs and Development (PCAD), announced that of the 1,364 barangays in the province, 1,036 have been cleared as affected barangays, 238 are currently being processed for drug clearing and 12 barangays are set to be declared drug-cleared in the coming days.

He said the processing of drug clearing is already up to the Punong Barangays while the PDEA and PNP and other lead agencies such as LGU, DOH and DOLE will remain support units.

Of the more than 21,000 drug surrenderers, 3,000 still have not yet completed the community-based rehabilitation program. (Nora Dominguez)
