New Pangasinan PNP director’s orders
SHORTLY after P/Colonel Ronald Valdez Gayo was installed as the new provincial director, vice P/Colonel Redrico Maranan, he didn’t waste time in issuing initial orders to police stations in the province, particularly, his plan to intensify campaign against illegal drugs.
In his first command conference, Gayo ordered the chiefs of police in 44 towns and 4 cities to intensify the campaign against crime by serving the warrants of arrest, may it small or big case to reduce criminals roaming in the community.
He also specifically instructed the province’s police chiefs:
- To make sure that their personnel are disciplined and courteous specially those assigned at checkpoints.
- To oversee the strict implementation of health and safety protocols set by the national Inter Agency task Force (IATF).
- To maintain the cleanliness of the police stations and discipline in ‘Tamang Bihis’ of the PNP.
Meanwhile, Gayo has appealed to the local governments to adopt the best practices of the Asingan local government that regularly requires drug surrenderers to regularly take drug tests as part of ongoing monitoring to help prevent them from returning to the illegal trade and practice.
