Malacañang launches PMT in Pangasinan
THE Philippine Moral Transformation (PMT) 2020 Program of the Office of the Presidential Adviser for Religious Affairs (OPARA) was launched in Pangasinan on December 3, in a ceremony personally led by Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) Commissioner Greco Belgica and Governor Amado Espino III.
Commissioner Belgica said the PMT forms part of the continued campaign of President Rodrigo R. Duterte against corruption, illegal drugs and criminality.
“Iba po kapag ang nangunguna sa paglapit sa Diyos ay ang pinuno ng bayan kaya ako po ay natutuwa, nagagalak dahil dito po sa Pangasinan, ang nangunguna sa paglapit sa Diyos ay sina Governor, Vice Governor atnmga Mayors,” he said.
Governor Espino expressed his gratitude to organizers and other organizations who are all parts of the PMT for bringing the program in Pangasinan.
“Isa pong malaking tulong at malaking pagkilala sa probinsya po naming na ginagawa po naming lahat dito, kasama po lahat ng barangay at municipal officials na nakikiisa upang matulungan at bawat nmamamayan ng probinsya ng Pangasinan sa abot po ng aming makakaya.”
Belgica and Gov. Espino also led the covenant signing, along with Vice Governor Mark DG. Lambino, National Executive Director Sabino Canela, National Director for Operation Ferdinand Malabed, National Program Director Woodrow Pajela, YMC Pangasinan Rodolfo Soriano and Region I Deputy Director Manolito R. Panganiban.
Also present during the launching of PMT were Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil, Agno Mayor Gualberto R. Sison, Mabini Mayor Ariel De Guzman, Dasol Mayor Noel Nacar and Labrador Mayor Dominador Arenas and Provincial Administrator Nimrod Camba.
National Executive Director Sabino Canela said the PMT has three pronged programs, namely: Bawat Tahanan, Sambahan – Bawat Pamilya May Kapilya; Gabay ng Bayan – Gabay sa Barangay; and Gabay Sa Bagong Buhay.
The Bawat Tahanan, Sambahan aims to help men and women develop godly moral characters and work ethics.
The representative from the socio-civic sector shall be the implementer of the Gabay ng Bayan – Gabay sa Barangay: a Kontra – Corrupt; Kontra – Droga initiative of the PMT while the representative from the religious sector shall be the implementer of the Bawat Tahanan, Sambahan – Bawat Pamilya May Kapilya: an Anti-Rebellion and a Drug Demand Reduction initiative of the PMT.
