DTI warns public vs toxic toys

By December 21, 2020Business, News

NOT all toys came from Santa Claus and, therefore, may not be safe for children.

In other words, toys that do not bear proper labels did not pass through government regulation and may pose chemical and injury risks to children.

The Department of Trade and Industry warned that toys without labels from the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) that conducts toxicity examination of toys, can be hazardous to children’s health.

So it urges parents to look at and read packaging of toys because these usually contain warnings.

DTI also warned consumers against buying toys online because these are not monitored by DTI and are not checked if the products are mislabeled or unlabeled. (Ahikam Pasion)
