Depressed barangay tanod hangs self

A barangay peacekeeper (tanod) in Binmaley town committed suicide.

The victim, Arnold Montemayor, 46, of Barangay Papagueyan, was found dead by his father, Arvin, hanging lifeless inside their house.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.

Arnold’s family believes he committed suicide due to depression because days before he was observed to have been feeling glum, anxious, and lethargic.
