PERSONNEL of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Pangasinan planted some 200 narra tree seedlings along Camp 4 Villa Verde Trail in San Nicolas town for their Communi-TREE program.

Acting Provincial Fire Director Chief Inspector Georgian Pascua said 100 firefighters from the 15 local fire stations in Pangasinan participated in the project last week that seeks to protect the environment against flood soil erosions and air pollution.

Pascua said that Communi-TREE targets to plant at least 5,000 tree seedlings in the province.

The Communi-TREE project was launched on Sept. 20 this year at the Daang Kalikasan in Mangatarem town in line with the “Green Revolution Reloaded Program” of BFP Regional Office 1.

Personnel of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Philippine National Police and local officials of San Nicolas also participated in the tree-planting activity. (Jerick Pasiliao)
