Truck slams to parked tricycle, one dead
A 50-year-old man died in Alaminos City after an Elf truck smashed onto a parked tricycle.
The victim, Romeo Onia, a seaman and a resident of Barangay Poblacion, was inside the tricycle, when the truck being driven by Dave Bernardino, 26, a resident of Jones, Isabela, crashed into the tricycle, pinning Onia.
He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police investigation showed Bernardino fell asleep while driving, causing him to lose control of the truck.
The suspect is under police custody awaiting charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide. (Ahikam Pasion)
