IN DISTANCE LEARNING

ALL barangays, homes as well as residential areas are now considered school zones  because learners are studying in their homes either online or via modules distributed by the Department of Education.

According P/Lt. Colonel Ferdinand de Asis, chief of police of Calasiao, as school zones, the police will ensure that there is no loud noise in the areas during the day to keep the learners from being distracted.

De Asis told the October 28 KBP Virtual Forum that videokes and other sound producing gadgets, including motorcycles with mufflers will not be allowed in the barangays as well as in residential areas during the school days.

De Asis said the Calasiao has an existing ordinance banning videokes during school hours and he has asked the Sangguniang Bayan to revise it to make it relevant to new conditions.

Calasiao police already apprehended a number of motorcycles with mufflers and fined their riders.

The Dagupan Police is also strictly enforcing the ordinance in the city banning videokes during school hours and are watching out for riders of motorcycles with mufflers. (Leonardo Micua)
