HEALTH authorities in San Carlos City were baffled how the 44th confirmed COVID-19 case in San Carlos City was infected.

The City Information Office said the 17-year-old girl, resident of Barangay Naguilayan, had no travel history to or from outside the province since the pandemic begun.

The patient has a pre-existing medical condition that required her to be admitted at the Region 1 Medical Center (R1MC) in Dagupan City.

Her swab-test showed she was infected with SARS-CoV-2, the causative agent of COVID-19.

As of Wednesday, Nov. 18, San Carlos City has six active COVID-19 cases with 38 recoveries of the 44 total confirmed cases. (Jerick Pasiliao)
