A drug personality on the drug watch list in Mangaldan town and his woman companion were intercepted by the Bayambang Police as they were fleeing from policemen in San Manuel town in Tarlac after a drug buy-bust operation.

University campus at Zone 6 in Bayambang were Benigno Renzo De Vera, alias “Delubio”, 23, of Barangay Guiguilonen, Mangaldan, tagged as an illegal drug personality in that town, and one Maria Zitadel Parataoan, 27, of Barangay Quezon Boulevard, San Carlos City.

Prior to the chase, the suspects were selling one sachet of shabu containing seven grams valued at P46,000 in San Manuel town to the undercover policemen who acted as buyer but when they sensed that they were transacting with policemen, they tried to escape from the arresting officers. on board a black pick-up truck.

As the hot pursuit was going on, the San Manuel, Tarlac police radioed policemen in Bayambang to intercept the vehicle of the suspects that was headed to the town.
