THE provincial government brought the Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan, a component of the Abig Pangasinan Program of Governor Amado Espino III to San Carlos City and Villasis on October 19 and 22 respectively, for a two-day affair.

Jewel Rey Padilla, Population Program Officer II of the Provincial Population, Cooperative, and Livelihood Development Office, said various products produced by local entrepreneurs were presented in a rolling store at the new public market, like a mini-trade fair to help them cope with the effects of the pandemic in their businesses.

Board Member Chinky Perez-Tababa reminded her constituents that most buy food products produced by other countries and provinces, forgetting the same products are being produced by fellow Pangasinenses.

She urged them to buy products made by Pangasinan entrepreneurs during the opening program of the Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan rolling store in Villasis town at the Bagsakan Market on October 22.

Locally-made products such as bagoong, patis, alamang, chips, puto, longganisa, dried seafood, woven products and other Pangasinan-made products were among those showcased in the rolling store.

Villasis Mayor Nonato Abrenica underscored the importance of bringing Pamanang Yaman in the town, which is to help reopen and revive the province’s local economy.

City Administrator of San Carlos Voltair Cabuay thanked the provincial government for including the city as a major market for the Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan program and urged city residents to patronize the local products brought to the city.
