IT is possible that the provincial government is on its way to flattening the curve when no new confirmed COVID-19 case, and no new confirmed death was reported over a 12-hour period last October 14.

This was gleaned from the monitoring of the Provincial Health Office  (PHO).

As of 9:00 a. m. on October 15, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pangasinan since the start of the pandemic still stood at 1,356, of which 1,058 were logged in 47 towns and cities and another 298 in Dagupan City.

Of the 1,356 COVID-19 cases recorded so far, 887 had recovered, 418 are still confined in hospitals  and isolation facilities while 51 had died.

Of the 48 towns and cities of Pangasinan, 42 or 87 percent are considered infected while six towns or 13 percent are now COVID-19- free. (Leonardo Micua)
