SEVEN barangays of Sta. Barbara were placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) level while zones and households in seven barangays were isolated for zonal containment following the upsurge of COVID-19 cases in the town.

The order was contained in Executive Order No. 25-2020 issued on October 5 by Mayor Joel de los Santos where he also ordered the inclusion of the company where 135 of its more than 540 workers tested positive, 91 of whom are residents of the town .

Placed under EO, the ECQ were Barangays Tebag West, Maticmatic, Leet, Cablong, Banaoang, and Ventinilla.

Secured for zonal containment were Zone 5 of Barangay Tuliao, Zone 6 and 7 in Sapang, one household in Zone 2 in Botao, households in Villa Sta. Barbara in Minien West, one household in Zone 3 in Cablong and Zone 4 in Leet.

Under ECQ, only one from every household will be permitted to leave home in order to buy essential commodities.
