Mangaldan registers 19 active COVID-19 cases

THE town of Mangaldan already registered new 19 active COVID-19 cases out of the 43 cases recorded in the town since the contagion started.

This was disclosed by the town’s Information office which also reported that out of the total 43 confirmed cases, 22 patients have clinically recovered and two died.

The five newly confirmed active cases were: a 27-year-old male doctor from Barangay Malabago; a 38-year-old male meat vendor, also from Malabago and was a close contact of a previous patient; a 49-year-old woman
from Barangay Bari; a 41-year-old female public school teacher from Barangay Bantayan; and a 55-year-old tricycle driver from Barangay Maasin.

Two were confined at the Region 1 Medical Center and the three others are under observation at the LGU isolation facility.

The Mangaldan government said contact tracing was immediately done by the task force and the identified close contacts of the patients are already being closely monitored by the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team. (Leonardo Micua)
