SCHOLARS of the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) from Dagupan and Pangasinan may now enroll at the newly opened Skills Solution Training and Assessment Center in Barangay Lucao, Dagupan City.

The TESDA-accredited center was officially launched Thursday in a program graced by TESDA Deputy Director General Anecito “John” Bertiz III, and Regional Director Vincent Atienza Ciara.

Bertiz said the center will have a big role to play in providing technical vocational training (TVET) to the youth in the countryside in addition to TESDA Abot Lahat program that aims to help displaced Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Locally Stranded Individuals so that they will be equipped with the necessary skills that will earn them a living.

While in, Dagupan, he promoted the Balik Probinsya program of Senator Christopher Lawrence Go.

Director Ciara said the people of Pangasinan are lucky because their development is not restricted by the current pandemic and can conduct a face-to-face TVET.

To date, Region 1 has 12,000 scholars that received allowances and insurance while on vocational training. (Leonardo Micua)
