Two Mangaldan sitios locked down

MAYOR Marilen Lambino placed Sitio Alaminos in Barangay Gueguesangen and a sitio in Barangay Anolid under localized lockdown after more persons from these villages were found infected with COVID-19.

In Sitio Alaminos three new cases tested e positive for COVID-19 by RT-PCR test on August 31.

The three, according to the local Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATAF), were the close contacts of a person who became positive for COVID-19 in the sitio and was confined at Region 1 Medical Center.

The three are now under the management of the Mangaldan LGU task force.

In Barangay Anoli-, a 30-year old male resident, working in San Fernando City, La Union, was found positive for COVID-1 on August 31, and is presently being treated at the Mangaldan Isolation Facility.

Another new case is a 33-year-old female from Barangay Poblacion and a medical front line worker of R1MC, who was diagnosed to have COVID-19 on August 30.

Records of the PHO showed that as of September 2, Mangaldan already has 11 active COVID-19 cases, the second highest in Pangasinan after 20 COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, the PHO reported that a 38-yearleold man from Mangaldan was among four persons that recovered after being confined on August 20. (Leonardo Micua)
