Four family members test positive for COVID-19

FOUR members of a family of nine in Carlos City tested positive recently for COVID-19.

The City Information Office (CIO) said the infection of the four were confirmed through RT-PCR test.

The swab testing for the family was done on September 3 after one of the family members, residents of Barangay Quezon Boulevard, was reported to have manifested symptoms of the virus. The City Health Office (CHO) investigated and advised the family to observe home quarantine.

The new COVID-19 cases, all female: a 22-year-old, a 20-year-old, a 45-year-old and an 8-year-old.

The CHO formed a contact tracing team to monitor persons who had contacted any of the four as it confirmed that the patients had no recorded travel to and from outside the province.

Meanwhile, as of Sept. 6, San Carlos City registered 21 confirmed cases and 17 have recovered. No fatality. (Jerick Pasiiao)
