A meat vendor at the Bayambang public market is the latest fatality in the province.

The fatality, a 58-year-old male from Barangay Darawey in Bayambang town, was initially brought to a hospital in Bayambang on the morning of August 27 when he manifested symptoms of COVID-19 infection. He was transferred to the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital on August 31, where he was tested and eventually died even before the results came out.

He was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.

With this, Mayor Cezar Quiambao ordered a five-day lockdown of the said establishment for decontamination starting September 1 to 5. (Ahikam Pasion)
