BRANCH 24 of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) located inside Justice Hall building at Tondaligan Park in Dagupan City was closed from August 24 to September 3 shortly after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

This was gleaned in the August 23, 2020 memorandum (No. 12-2020) issued by RTC Executive Judge Caridad V. Galvez, presiding judge of RTC Branch 43.

The RTC Branch 42 will be physically closed from August 24, 2020 until September 3, 2020 to allow for disinfection of premises and contact tracing considering that one of its employees was tested positive of COVID-19 after RT-PCR Test.

Judge Galvez said that during the closure, all personnel of RTC-Branch 42 would work from home and to observe strict home quarantine.

She required employees who got in close contact with the infected staff found positive for COVID-19 to take RT-PCR swab testing, the results of which should be immediately reported.

Meanwhile, court operations shall continue as she assured that RTC 42 will remain within reach through its official hotline number and judiciary/email accounts.

Judge Galvez also said the court may also conduct video conference hearing and accept pleadings through electronic filing pursuant to existing circular. (Leonardo Micua)
