Urbiztondo records second Covid-19 case
AN asymptomatic resident of Barangay Galarin in Urbiztondo tested positive for Covid-19.
Mayor Martin Raul Sison said the new case arrived in Pangasinan from Quezon City on July 2 and was made to do a swab test at the Urdaneta City border point.
The confirmation of his positive case was received on July 4.
Sison was assured that the patient has had no close contact with any of his family members, except the frontliners who interviewed him, and are currently taking care of him.
He said the patient was no longer allowed to go home since the day he took the swab test, and was subsequently brought to the isolation facility in Barangay Batangacaoa after he was interviewed by the rural health unit.
Upon testing positive, the patient was transferred to the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital Isolation Unit.
According to the Provincial Health Office, this is the second case of Covid-19 recorded in the town.
The first was former Board Member Raul P. Sison, who died due to complications brought about by the coronavirus. (Ahikam Pasion)
