S&T scholarships for Grade 12 students
THE Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) announced the availability of scholarship for the 2021 DOST-SEI S&T Undergraduate Scholarships for incoming Grade 12 students in AY 2020-2021.
Since applications will be done via online (https://www.science-scholarships.ph/) applicants will no longer need to report to any DOST regional or provincial offices.
R.A. No. 7687, “Science and Technology Scholarship Act of 1994”, provides scholarships to deserving students whose families’ socio-economic status do not exceed the set cut-off values of certain indicators.
Merit Scholarship Program, formerly the NSDB or NSTA Scholarship, will be awarded to top qualifiers in the S&T Scholarship Examination.
Qualifiers of both programs must pursue priority fields of study in the basic sciences, engineering, other applied sciences, and mathematics teaching.
S&T Undergraduate scholarship qualifiers will enjoy the tuition fees, monthly stipend across all disciplines, book allowance, MS/PE clothing allowance, one economy-class roundtrip fare per academic year, thesis allowance and group health and accident insurance.
Deadline for online application is on 28 August 2020. The nationwide qualifying examination will be on 25 October 2020.
