THE Social Security System (SSS)-Dagupan branch clarified that it is not giving a ‘bonus’ for pensioners in the midst of quarantine.

Primitivo Verania, Jr., SSS-Dagupan acting branch manager, made the clarification about rumored ‘quarantine bonus’ for pensioners equivalent to their one-month pension.

“He said SSS never issued an advisory,” Verania told the Pantongtongan Tayo radio program of the Philippine Information Agency.

What pensioners can continuously receive, he said, is their monthly pension.

Meanwhile, he said the annual confirmation of pensioners program or ACOP where pensioners have to present themselves to the SSS office once a year, shall be temporarily suspended during the quarantine period until the last day or the lifting of quarantine period. (PIA-Pangasinan/VHS)
