ASINGAN CASE RECOVERED

UNDER the General Community Quarantine status in Pangasinan and the Modified General Community Quarantine in Dagupan City, one of the three remaining COVID-19 patients in the province recovered from the viral infection and released on May 28.

The 29-year old male from Barangay Dupac, Asingan who was earlier diagnosed to be a confirmed COVID-19 case on May 13, became the 31st case that recovered from 42 cases of positive infection. Nine have died but from various illnesses.

The only remaining COVID-19 patients to date are a 15-year old girl, also from Dupac, Asingan, a close relative of the newly recovered 29-year old male patient; and a 28-year old male from Barangay Cabalitian, Sual.

The 15-year old girl remains confined and isolated at the Provincial Quarantine Facility in San Carlos City while the 28-year old patient from Sual is in isolation and quarantined in Sual’s Municipal Quarantine Center.

Dr. Anna de Guzman, the provincial health officer, said the two remaining COVID-19 patients are still asymptomatic of the disease and could soon be released too in days ahead.

PHO reports 370 persons have since recovered from a total of 475 persons under investigation; 88 have died and 17 still confined in hospitals as of May 28; and from 103,929 listed as persons under monitoring (PUMs), 97,639 have completed their 14-day quarantine and 5,804 are still under their quarantine while 48 failed to incomplete their mandatory 14-day quarantine.
