GOOD news for Sual residents!

The first confirmed COVID-19 positive case registered in Sual tested double negative in his last two Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction confirmatory test administered  by the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center.

The four other COVID-19 positive cases in the town also turned negative in their first RT PRC confirmatory test but will have to take another confirmatory test for final confirmation.

These developments were bared by Mayor Liseldo Calugay quoting the report from Dr. Glicielda Ramirez, municipal health officer.

Calugay is believed to be referring to the 29-year-old male from Barangay Cabalitian who was identified as a helper of a 10-wheeler truck that brought milkfish to Malabon, Metro Manila where he may have contracted the virus.

Encouraged by the development, Calugay said he looks forward to seeing his town virus- free finally and thanked the medical and other frontliners who untiringly do their part “to save us all from the pandemic.”

The four new COVID-19 cases have been identified as: a 39-year-old female from Barangay Poblacion, a 23-year-old female from Barangay Siaosio, a 45-year-old female from Paitan West and a 22-year-old male from Paitan West.

They are frontline workers who tested positive during a targeted mass testing conducted by the Sual municipal government with the help of the CGHMC.

The four are who has a history of travel to the National Capital Region. (Leonardo Micua)
