CAPITOL NEWS

THE Provincial Government of Pangasinan praised the sixteen health workers who took care of COVID-19 positive patients during their send-off ceremony on April 27 at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital Gymnasium.

“Salamat sa sakripisyo niyo para sa ating mga kababayan. We appreciate ang mga ginagawa ninyo sa hospital at sa ating mga kababayan,” Governor Amado I. Espino III told the health workers through a phone call.

It can be noted that the 16 health workers voluntarily took the fourteen-day continuous duty to advocate and meet the needs of the COVID-19 positive patients as well as suspected cases confined at the PPH.

The provincial chief executive further said, “Iparating ninyo sa pamilya ninyo an gaming taos-pusong pasasalamat. Babawi ako sa inyo pagkatapos ng lahat ng ito.”

Provincial Health Officer Anna Ma. Teresa de Guzman also expressed her gratitude to the health care workers.

“We are truly grateful for your sacrifices para sa Probinsya ng Pangasinan,” said Dr. De Guzman.

The sent-off health workers will undergo another fourteen-day quarantine in a private facility while another batch of health workers will take over in taking care of COVID-19 patients.

Meanwhile, the Province of Pangasinan is continuously preparing for the mass testing in Pangasinan.

In a statement, Dr. De Guzman said that the earliest possible start of mass testing in the province will be on the first week of May.
