THE Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) is monitoring two active fault lines after a 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit San Fernando City in La Union.

Ron Castillo, PDRRMO research and planning officer, said both the East Zambales and San Manuel fault lines were connected when a 7.8 intensity earthquake shook Luzon in 1990.

Castillo added that all the local disaster risk reduction and management offices in the province are on the alert and closely coordinating with PDRRMO for consolidation of their reports.

At presstime, no damages and casualties were reported in Pangasinan although the tremor was felt in some parts of the province. Castillo said. (Jerick Pasiliao)
