Pangasinan gets P973-M for 177,038 beneficiaries

PANGASINAN listed 177,038 beneficiaries, and received P973,709,000, representing the biggest share of the P1,915,666,500.00 of emergency subsidy from the government’s Social Amelioration Program in the region.

According to DSWD Regional Director Marcelo Castillo, 348,303 poor family-beneficiaries in Region 1 were identified as beneficiaries through the local governments.

Ilocos Norte listed 49,939 families and received P274,664,500.00 cash assistance while Ilocos Sur’s 64,739 beneficiaries received P356,064,500,000.

La Union’s 56,587 beneficiaries received P311,228,500.00.

The Field Office installed a Help Desk to respond to grievances and complaints of exclusion though mobile numbers 0945-823-7218 (Globe) and 0961-548-8850 (Smart) or telephone numbers (072) 888-2184 and (072) 687-8000.

In Region 1, a qualified family-beneficiary received P5,500.00 computed based on the prevailing minimum wage of the Region.

Meanwhile, Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil, president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (Pangasinan Chapter) lauded Balungao, Burgos, Laoac and Urbiztondo for being acknowledged by DSWD for having complied and effected the early distribution of SAP in their respective areas.
