THE command leadership at the Police Regional Office I was recently turned over by P/ Brig. General Joel S. Orduña, who retired on May 8, to P/Brig. General Rodolfo S. Azurin, Jr.

The turnover was ordered by P/Maj General Reynaldo G Biay.

After the formal turnover, Azurin impressed upon his subordinates that “we are amid COVID-19 pandemic, extraordinary times need extraordinary approaches to deliver services to the community” and pledged an aggressive partnership with the community to achieve development.

He said his command will be guided by key points: “M+K+K=K (Malasakit + Kaayusan + Kapayapaan = Kaunlaran) and enjoined the region’s personnel to support PRO1’s objectives and be responsible not to catch or to spread the virus.”

Azurin is a member of the PMA Makatao Class of 1989 and served as director of the PNP Maritime Group before his new designation.

Orduña served as PRO 1 director for 13 months. “For the past three days, I looked forward to ending my service in a place where I personally believe as the best Police Regional Office in the PNP.” (Leonardo Micua/Ahikam Pasion/Philstar Wire Service/ECV)
