GOVERNOR Amado Espino III has directed the restoration of some operations of the provincial government after an assessment meeting with the department heads last week as Pangasinan shifted to General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

“Lets’ try to restore some operations but let’s not rush everything,” the governor told the department heads led by Provincial Administrator Nimrod Camba on May 22.

“We have to start resuming other health programs and other ‘stimulus’ projects to help restore normalcy in in life in the province.” he added.

Espino, however, cautioned the department heads not to rush to avoid missteps and ensure that the gains of the province in its fight against the pandemic are protected.

To observe physical distancing and accommodate the clients from the six congressional districts of the province, the provincial government has implemented a six-day work week schedule, where clients from the following districts are scheduled, as follows: district 1 (Monday), district 2 (Tuesday), district 3 (Wednesday), district 4 (Thursday), district 5 (Friday), district 6 (Saturday).

He urged the office chiefs to work as if it is business as usual under a new normal setting while attending to the threat of COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are now living in the new normal and every person should adjust to it,” he said. (PIO/MGNO)
